Helping kids move, grow, and thrive.
Supporting development, improving movement, and promoting lifelong health.

What We Do
Supporting development, improving movement, and promoting lifelong health.
Pediatric physical therapists are movement specialists who help children develop, improve, and maintain the physical skills they need for everyday life. We work with children of all ages and abilities to address challenges with strength, balance, coordination, mobility, and motor development.
At Unique Therapy for Kids, physical therapy begins with a comprehensive evaluation of your child's movement abilities, developmental skills, and functional limitations. Based on this assessment, we develop an individualized treatment plan that addresses your child's specific needs and goals.
Through hands-on treatment, therapeutic exercises, and fun, play-based activities, we help children build strength, improve coordination, develop motor skills, and participate more fully in activities at home, at school, and in their community.
Physical therapy also focuses on preventing future movement difficulties and promoting long-term health. We work closely with families to provide education, encourage physical activity, and develop strategies that support progress beyond therapy sessions.
Our goal is to help every child overcome movement challenges, build confidence in their abilities, and develop healthy movement habits that last a lifetime.
How Can Pediatric Physical Therapy Help?
Extra support to move, play, and explore.
Every child develops at their own pace, but sometimes they need extra support to build the skills that help them move, play, and explore their world. Pediatric physical therapy helps children who are experiencing delays in motor development or difficulties with movement. Through individualized evaluations, therapeutic exercises, play-based activities, and family education, we help children build strength, improve coordination, and gain confidence in their abilities.
Head Control
Strengthening neck muscles and improving your child's ability to lift, hold, and control their head.
Head Position & Shape

Sitting & Crawling
Developing core strength, balance, and coordination to help your child sit, crawl, and explore their surroundings.
Standing
Improving leg strength, balance, and weight-bearing skills to support standing with greater confidence.
Walking
Identifying factors contributing to delayed walking and helping your child develop the strength, balance, and coordination needed to take independent steps.
Balance & Coordination
Improving stability, body awareness, and movement control to make everyday activities easier.
Keeping Up With Peers
Building strength, endurance, and motor skills so your child can participate more confidently in play, sports, and activities with friends.
Early Support
It's never too early to get support.
Early support can make a meaningful difference. Research consistently shows the benefits of early intervention for developmental delays. The earlier we target muscle development, coordination and function, the better the chance of more typical development.
Some children have trouble with gross motor skills because of premature birth, or a neurological impairment from birth complications or a genetic disorder. Depending on your child's needs, therapy may be recommended as early as 4 weeks after birth.
If you have concerns about your child's movement or development, a pediatric physical therapist can help you understand their needs and determine the next steps.
